Speaker: Moody Institute’s Dr. Gerald Peterman, is professor of New Testament studies and chair of the Bible department at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Peterman has contributed to The Moody Handbook of Preaching, Proclaiming Jesus, and The Moody Bible Commentary. He has also published six essays in various journals and bulletins.
The day will focus on these discussion points:
How we avoid falling into the trap of hatred, anger, verbal abuse, and the like?
How do we trust God when we see our world seemingly going haywire?
Is God in control?
If I follow scripture and I say the only way to God is through Jesus Christ, have I just spoken hate speech?
REFUGE FOR WOMEN SPECIAL EVENT
Refuge for Women is hosting a special event at Hosanna! on Saturday, November 4th from 9:00 – 11:00 am. The highlight of the program will be a dramatic portrayal on the life of Amy Carmichael, a missionary in India who was one of the first sex trafficking abolitionists. In addition to “A Visit with Amy Carmichael,” the program will also include a light breakfast, a presentation on the restorative, healing ministry of Refuge for Women, and an opportunity to support their life-changing work.
